Research on 5-Deuterated Glucose Featured on the Cover of NMR in Biomedicine
The company's deuterated glucose product matches international benchmarks in performance and has obtained a granted Chinese invention patent.
A study led by Biosotop's R&D team on the application of 5-deuterated glucose ([5-²H]-glucose) in tumor metabolic imaging was featured on the cover of the leading international MR journal NMR in Biomedicine.
The study thoroughly evaluated the metabolic kinetics of 5-deuterated glucose — synthesized entirely with Biosotop's proprietary process — in small-animal in vivo models. The data show that key metrics such as signal-to-noise ratio, lactate-conversion specificity and in vivo half-life meet or exceed those of comparable lab-developed products internationally, demonstrating the company's global competitiveness in core raw-material synthesis and purification.
This is also the first time a Chinese company has published core probe-technology results in the field of MR deuterium metabolic imaging. Building on this research, Biosotop obtained a related national invention patent this year, laying a solid foundation for its subsequent global intellectual-property strategy.
